Confession ………….

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”
1 John 1 :9

What  is confession?  It is admitting that I have done wrong.
Human pride does not make it easy to say – “I am guilty.”

Christ”s Model Prayer teaches us to say
– “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive  our debtors…”
God can and will forgive us only when we are willing to
-admit and confess – we have done wrong.

True confession –  is of a specific  nature.
1. Only brought before God.
2. Confessed to individuals who you have hurt.
3. A public confession.

Confession – should be definite and to the point,
acknowledging the very wrongs of what you are guilty.
It generally stems from thinking ourselves better than we really are.
We have to be willing to admit  ‘guilt’ – willingly and sincerely.

He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
Proverbs  28 : 13

In everything give thanks;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5 : 18

We take so many things for granted.
Take a few minutes a day to count your many BLESSINGS.

Cultivating a thankful spirit and taking time to express appreciation for the good things that come our way does something for our mental attitude;
It also brings joy and peace to our lives.

When adversity comes upon us – we are asked to look at these times and even if it sounds hard we are asked to give thanks.

Joy is not an escape from sorrow.  Pain and hardship still come, but they are unable to drive away the happiness of the redeemed. Laughter is the delight that things are working  together for good to them who love God.

His ways are dependable, His promises sure.

Be thankful not only for the ‘gifts’ but also for the GIVER.

Nothing is impossible..

“”I can do all thing through Christ who gives me strength”‘.
Philippians 4 :13

Paul was speaking from experience when he said these words .
He was chained to a guard in the Roman prison.
His prison was his pulpit and his guards his congregation.
It was while he was in prison that he wrote the Book of Philippians.

Is there something in your life that you can not overcome?
Is there a fault that you can not eradicate?
Is there some problem that you cannot solve?
Then Claim the PROMISE in  Philippians 4:13
Believe in this promise with all your heart.
Act upon it with all your being.
You will discover that your impossibility
will become God’s possibility.

William Booth said-  “God loves with a great love the man
whose heart is bursting with a passion for the impossible.”

Andrew Murray said-  “We have a God who delights in impossibilities”

Charles Spurgeon  said – “He who believes in Christ
does what he cannot do.
He attempts the impossible and performs it.”

When I doubt my capabilities Lord-
Help me to  believe  that  everything is possible with you.

Two are better than One……..

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

9 Two people are better than one.
They can help each other in everything they do.

 10 Suppose someone falls down.
Then his friend can help him up.
But suppose the man who falls down
doesn’t have anyone to help him up.
Then feel sorry for him!

Is your ‘marriage’ growing a bit stale – and stuck in a ‘rut’?
Recall why you said “I Do” – in the first place.
Proverbs 5: 18
“So be happy with your wife
and find your joy with the woman you married—”.

How to best help each other –
Appreciate, Encourage and Support each other .
Enjoy and ‘spoil’ each other
Invite God into your life by-
Praying and submitting to Him and to each other.

‘Love‘ is not a word that describes feelings.
It is not a technique to fulfill a need.
It is an action in responding to God in relation to us.
With God in your life-
we will know the true meaning of ‘Happiness’.

Your Prayers reach far beyond self.
When you ask for wisdom from God –
you identify with God’s plan for your life.

Give me unselfish thoughts – and commitment.
Help me Lord to enrich my Marriage

“I have overcome them…….”

You do not have to like the world –
to have an impact on the world;
You do not have to be like the  crowd –
to change the crowd;
You do not have to lower yourself down to their level
– to lift them up to your level;
“Holiness” does not seek to be odd –
it seeks to be more like God.

Christ said  – “Do not be afraid of what you are to suffer.
I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you…….,
But be faithful , even if you have to die.
And I will give you the CROWN of LIFE”.
Revelation  2 : 10

“Grace” – teaches us to live in a wise and right way
that shows we serve God.

“HE who is in me –  is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4 : 4

New every morning…

“The steadfast LOVE of the Lord never ceases,
His  MERCIES  never ends.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3 : 22-24

God’s faithfulness-
-holds us steady when everything around us is crumbling.
-holds us steady when adversities cover us like a cloud of gloom.
-it is Uplifting, Energizing and Inspiring -and gives us Victory.
-God is Love and Forgiving.

Starting the day with GOD –
is essential and the central act of a Christian.
By Scripture reading- Singing and Praying –
At the start of your day commit yourself to Him.

“Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him.  And He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5

Then the word of the Lord came to me saying,
“Can I not, o house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?”…….
“Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand.
so are you in my hand. o house of Israel.
Jeremiah 18 : 3-6.

Every time we refer to moulding a  piece of clay into a lovely bowl or vase  on a potter’s wheel – we can’t but think of Jeremiah. As he witnessed the potter at work, God wanted to give him a spiritual lesson. Instead of throwing away the clay, the potter remoulded it while it was still pliable.
From this lesson Jeremiah realized that God was the Potter and Israel was the clay.

Today, God is still the Potter although the clay represents people God will not mould us against our wills.  To be made into an honorable vessel requires pain at times. A potter uses sharp tools and a whirling wheel to shape the clay. He uses fire to permanently harden and protect the vessel.
To obtain the best results no step can be eliminated.

“For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
and He scourges every son whom He Receives.” Hebrews 12 : 6

In the same way – God is in the process of making  a people for His glory – persons created in His image – with His mind. Like a potter He is working with the clay of our lives, forming  and reforming us until, finally, He has shaped a redeemed vessel fit for a kingdom.

I Thank the Divine Potter for His skilfull, loving hands that are willing and eager to mould us-trying to make something of our confused, distressed and rebellious lumps of clay.

Have a Blessed Day.
