Time alone with God…….

Prayer and quiet time ?- Not always easy!
And yet if we do not take the time alone with  God-
We are in danger of losing the best He has for us.
It helps us discover God’s plan for us at the start of the Day –
and other times too.

In our busy routine – finding time is not easy.
And there are days when it won’t happen.
But-when it does happen – we will be there to reap the benefits –
And be prepared to meet the challenges of each day.

We need to pause – be still – and  give our self to God –
He only wants the best for you.

Try to spend anytime in your busy day –  talking with God.

Wishing you a BLESSED SABBATH!

“I will give you REST”…….

Matthew 11:28
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”

Many are seeking REST in the pleasures of this world-
Some seek rest and satisfaction in society;  their achievements;  wealth or fame.
Unfortunately, such things alone cannot satisfy.

The Gospel invitation is so beautiful, so simple. and often we make it so involved.
One of the first words a baby learns from his mother is- “come”‘-
it gives the child safety and assurance.

Jesus invites us to come
– with our burdens;  anxieties- and unrest;- and asks us to leave it with Him
Come as you are  – and leave your problems with Him.
Come unto Him –  and He will give you the victory and rest.
Come to Him  –  and He will  help you overcome your enslaving habits-
but first COME and He will set you FREE- – so you can find REST.

God’s love – stands guard against all those things that attack your heart and mind
Come to Him and experience HIS Peace and Rest in- abundance.

You are an awesome God-
I can get through my trials and disappointments-
only by coming to You.- Help me to find Your Joy and Rest.

Wishing you all a Blessed Sabbath-

A day of Rest and Gladness.

Fix your eyes on HIM……

“May HE enlighten the eyes of your mind  –
so that you can see what HOPE his call holds for you”.
Ephesians 1:18

Fix your eyes on Jesus——

The world has never known a heart so pure as His.
A character so flawless.  He hears every heavenly whisper.
His mercy is so abundant – He is so forgiving.
No lie left His lips,  No distraction marred His vision.
He touched people -when others recoiled.
He endured when others quit.

God urges us to fix our eyes upon Jesus.
Set the  lens of our hearts on the heart of the SAVIOR-
I want to make Him the object of my life.

May every circumstance in my life-
help me to draw closer to You.
Help me to rejoice in you always.

Psalm 121:1
“I will  lift up my eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh  my help..”

“‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus – Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim-
In the LIGHT of His GLORY and Grace. “‘..

Wishing you a BLESSED Sabbath-.

Be of Good Cheer….

The words – “Be of good cheer”-   offers a basis of  ‘HOPE’  for the sick.
Courage for the  fearful  and  Peace for the perplexed.

Jesus used these words – “Be of good Cheer”.

1. When he healed a man who was paralyzed –
His friends had faith when they brought him to Jesus to be healed. Matthew 9:2.
2. When the Disciples found themselves in a fierce storm on the sea of Galilee.-
Jesus walking on the water -Calmed their fears. Matthew 14:27.
3. Jesus said that His true followers – will face persecution, even as He did. John ch 13-16

When conflicts arise;  in sickness and sad times;  and in times of  feeling fearful –
We have this assurance that we too can have this PEACE.

“The PEACE of God  which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7.

Women – of God’s Calling….

Be honored women – Proverbs 31 speaks of a “Model Woman” –
It also comes with responsibility

 It describes the qualities of God’s Beautiful woman;
Her price is greater than Rubies
It speaks of  Gracious, Blessed,  Women called by God.
( I have  included some of them this week)

I encourage you to read – Proverbs 31.
This is what God wants from a woman-

– She does her husband good.  –  She is industrious. –  Generous.
– Home keeper and  a reliable  Mother, – She  helps the needy.
– She is honorable, wise and kind.-
-She looks to the future. making preparation.
– And her children and husband Value her and sing her praises.

Look to this amazing Woman for inspiration.
With God’s help you too can accomplish much
He wants you to tend your home and serve your family with love –
Do the best that you can; express your creativity .

Value yourself – What an awesome  privilege we have?

 – You have a plan for me.

A Woman that Fears the Lord…..

Proverbs 31 – Describes the qualities of God’s Beautiful Women.
Her mental attitude reveals the commitment of her heart

Women – Do you have a sense of God’s calling?
That’s what gives us the direction we need.
It is easier when you are focused on what God wants for your life

Jochebed -One of God’s noble women – in the Bible (Exodus 6:20.).
She is a picture of FAITH in action.
She risked her life for her new-born son Moses.
Jochebed- cast her trust on God and he responded.

Rabekah  – was asked to travel to a far away place to become the wife of Isaac.
Her words were “I will go…” (Genesis 24:58).
That revealed a lot about her TRUST in the Lord.

Every step of FAITH is a giant step towards the center of God’s will
– And you will receive a Blessing.

“.. But a woman who fears the Lord – she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands- And let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Proverbs 31; 30-31.

A Gracious Woman …….

A woman’s Prayer- By  Elizabeth George.

“Lord, I want to have a heart for giving.
I desire to look outward to serve You and others.
Help me to see opportunities  to see peoples needs –
Giving all the glory and thanks to You. Amen. “

Have you heard this said?
“Love has hands to help others;
Feet to hasten to the poor and needy;
Eyes to see misery and want;
Ears to hear the sighs and sorrow of men, women and children”.

“She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy”.
Proverbs 31 : 20

Help me Lord- to be helpful and loving  – when these situation come my way.
