” Faith Can make a Brain Change…”.   Leave a comment

God's power

******

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12 : 2

There is a saying that goes- “Give us a child until he is 7 years old,
and you can have him the rest of his life.”
They realize that the first years of a child’s life
make impressions that lasts a lifetime.
What goes into a child’s brain is crucial since by age 7
the human brain attains 90% of its adult weight.

There is a belief that – “electron media;
fast-paced lifestyles;  unstable family patterns;
environmental hazards- seem to be changing not only the way
children think but also actual changes brain structure.
Perhaps the greatest factors in thinking habits- comes from
television viewing; computer games and peer pressure.

If seeing and doing can change a brain – then for the adult
a new-birth experience is possible as well.
The difference is who or what we fix our attention on.
Godly and satanic influences try to influence and get our attention.
So how is it possible to be changed?

Just seek Jesus daily– through reading and meditation.
Pray for our desire to be more like Jesus- and less like the world.
Taking decisive steps –  His will and way for us.
Our decision to focus on Jesus is a specific act on our own part.
Fasten our attention on Him-  Let the Holy Spirit begin a lifelong process
of changing our minds – by our thinking and doing.

Dedicated Christians are a mystery to society.
They are accused of thinking and acting differently to the world loving people.
Thank God for instructing us- ‘to look at Him.’
By doing so we can be changed into the likeness of Christ.

 We are what we decide to focus on-  Fix your eyes on Him.
