 “Above all, taking the Shield of Faith
with which you will be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
Ephesians 6 : 16

Paul seems to indicate that the ‘shield’
is more necessary than
any other piece of the armor.
The soldier can turn it in any direction
to protect any exposed part of the body.
The shield Is made in such a way-
to deflect the deadly darts and
render them ineffective.

We might think of them as the
fiery devices of ancient times.
Setting fire to buildings and clothing.

What is this ‘Shield of Faith’
that protects us against enemy weapons?
Faith is belief, trust and
confidence in the Word of God;
It is our confidence in His Word.

The ‘Shield of faith’-
turns aside the devil’s darts of hate,
lust, revenge,and despair.
Faith is the victory
that overcomes the world-
{1 John 5:4}.
It is by grace through faith
that we are saved-  {Ehp. 2;8}
We receive the holy Spirit by faith.
{Gal. 3:14}

Faith comes to us as a gift from God.
It is LOVE for and TRUST in God
and in the promises that He
has given us in his Word.
We must lay aside an unconsecrated heart –
and take up the Shield of Faith.

“Battle of the MIND..”

Love the Lord                                                                                   ****

“Let this MIND be in you which was in CHRIST JESUS…
Philippians  2 : 5

How can we gain victory over our thoughts??
We are what we think.-
“Sow a thought , and you reap an act;
Sow an act, and  you reap a habit;
Sow a habit, and you reap a character;
ow a character and you reap a

The battles for human souls
are fought in our thought life.
It is there that we win or lose.

It is a fine line- a delicate matter,
to determine just where sin begins -.
Satan will take God’s blessings and by
cunning perversion
turn them into temptations.
The devil corrupts – by idle
‘imaginings and daydreams’.

God works a miracle in our lives
to give us the victory.
He does not interfere with our choices..-
Our choices will decide –
our victory or defeat!

“God has given us the power of choice –
it is ours to exercise.
We can choose to serve God:;
We can give Him our will –
So He can work in us to
will and to do according to His good pleasure.

Thus our whole nature will be brought
under the control of Christ..”
{Ministry of Healing; EGW.}

Gain the victory – over sins of our “thoughts”
– through surrender to Jesus Christ…

Wishing you a Blessed Sabbath.

“And who knows whether you
have not attained royalty
for such a time as this?”
Esther 4: 14

Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai,
made a difficult decision to  appeal
to King Ahasuerus  to save their people- The Jews.
Esther instructed him to summon all the Jews
to join her and her maidens in fasting and praying.

She said- “If I perish- I perish.”
She had decided to risk her life
by illegally appearing before the king.
Her courage and faith stemmed from her early life-
Mordacai had taught her the faith of her people.
Her life had its focus on God
instead of herself.

She made the decision to sacrifice her life
if necessary for the sake  of  her people.
Esther believed God had a plan for her life
compelled her to let Him use her to fulfill it.

Esther, by following God’s leading,
brought salvation to her people.
Their marvelous victory resulted in a festival
of thanksgiving celebration – known as PURIM-
which Jews celebrate even today.

God has made a plan for us too-
Do you believe He has put you
where you are for a purpose?-
For such a time as this?
We can confidently and joyfully accomplish
great things for God-
by bringing His LOVE .to someone.

~Productive ~ “FAITH”~

New creation                                                                            &&&

“But the ones that fell on good ground are those who,
having heard the word with a noble and good heart,
keep it and
bear fruit with Patience..”
Luke 8 : 15

The PARABLE of the “Sower” illustrates-
four responses to God’s Word.

1. No faith -Hardened path. .No soil preparation.
No receptivity and no germination.
No harvest. Eaten by the birds of the air.
Rocky ground.

2. Faith without conviction
Not enough dept of soil to provide
stability for the plants.
They never became firmly rooted.
They represent those who listen
but when the time comes
that it costs something to believe –
they give up faith. Lack of conviction.

3. Faith without commitment  –
They represent those who entertain
competing interests in their lives.
Lack commitment and singleness
of mind and purpose.
They are choked with the
things of the world.
After receiving the word-
they  give their attention
to greed and things insignificant.
Crowded by weeds that destroy.
Material things crowd out faith;
they do not possess.

4. Reproducing Faith –
They respond with a high degree of receptivity.
The soil has been prepared and therefore
good receptive ground.
Rocks have been removed and weeds eradicated.
Under these circumstances the
“Gospel Seed”- reproduces itself many times.
The kingdom of God enlarges.

Faith that takes root and trusts the Object Of Faith
in spite of changing circumstances – is reproductive.

Faith that yields an abundant HARVEST!

When the LORD is the object of our FAITH –
He will give us an increase – and make us fruitful.

“It is the WORD of God”.

Seeking the things Above..

Let the Words..                                                                                     ****

“Set your MIND on the things above,
not on the things that are on earth.
For you have died and your life is hidden
with Christ in God. ”  Colossians  3 : 2-3

Satan constantly tries to distract our thoughts
from God and redirects them anywhere else.
He works with well organized plans
to keep us tied up even with good things
– things that do not contribute towards
Christian self-development
or prepare us for our Lord’s return.
That way is to seek the things from above.

To set our minds on eternal realities
requires an action on our part.
It demands determination.

As we examine our own lives-
we can see where we have got
involved in time-consuming things
that were really not that significant.
Things that are not bad in themselves,
but have not really contributed to
our own or anyone else’s SALVATION.

Jesus when he was here gave us a warning-
“Beware, and be on your guard
against every form of greed,
for not even when one has an abundance
does his life consist of his possessions.”

It is time for us to PRAISE the Lord
for His example and His willingness to help
us set our minds on Spiritual things.

Life is at its best when we concentrate
on what is most important in your life?

Make good choices with Prayer.

Wishing you a – BLESSED SABBATH.
