“PERFECT in HIM”..

“For you died,  and your life is hidden with CHRIST. in God.”   Colossians  3 : 3

“In Him we live, and move and have our being.”  Acts 17 : 28

When we enter into a saving transaction with Christ
whereby He takes our sin and gives us His righteousness,-
we are perfect in Him.
His demonstration of His unconditional love
wins our love and loyalty in response.
“We love Him because He first loved us.”
1 John 4:19

Because we love Jesus we want to please Him,
so as we learn His will, we do it.
His LOVE demonstrated to motivates  our obedience.
But because our “life is hidden with Christ in God,”
– when the Father looks at us He sees Jesus and his perfections.
As long as we abide in Him,
– we are perfect – perfect in Him.

that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures”
1 Corinthians  15 : 3

During this last week I have reflected on the days of the
‘Life of Christ’  His sufferings;  Death and Resurrection.
It has helped me to try and understand what Christ went through –
No one can really imagine – what He bore for us.
I hope that those who read my Journal this week have been blessed-
By knowing the ‘Sufferings of Christ’.  Thank you for your support.

Today I want to complete ‘The events of that Resurrection Sunday”.

At a funeral service of a loved one- These words are often spoken.-
“I am the Resurrection and the Life:”   {John : 11:25}
His resurrection is a pledge that all the dead will rise again one day.

The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20 : 28

When we wait for others to wait on us- we may find the outcome disappointing.
It happens in every day living.
We wait for complements  – we don’t receive  -or recognition- we do not get
In each case we have expectations of service -which we did not receive.

If we focus our attention on self
-our feeling:  our expectations and our rights –
it indicates that we want others to serve us.
God calls us to serve others.
Jesus came to give His life in service for others –
and He asks us to follow His example.

Ministry is being unselfish,
His Love through us makes us think of the needs of others than our own.
