Your Future – A Happy New Year!

Jesus loves u

“For you have NOT passed this way before..” Joshua 3 : 4

A Happy and Blessed New Year – Friends.
As we embark into another year.

As we look forward – we are thankful for a God
who knows the future –
and has promised to walk with us all the way.

The NEW YEAR– Marks the passing of time.
Many regard – TIME- that steals our youth;
dims ours eyes; Slows our steps and saps our vitality.
They view TIME- as an enemy – we wrestle in mortal combat.
But for the CHRISTIAN -TIME- extends beyond an earthly lifetime-

The passing of TIME – takes the Christian
nearer and nearer to a better land….
Where we shall see our Savior face to face.
The important thing is to walk with the LORD –
through the days of this NEW YEAR!

“I said to the man – who stood at the gate of the year:
‘Give me a light, that I may tread safely into the darkness’.
And he replied– “Go out into the darkness-
And put your hand – into the hand of God.
It shall be to you better than light
And safer than a known way.”

“Jesus” – Sets Us FREE…

great god                                                &&&

“Therefore, if any man is in CHRIST,
he is a new creature;
the old things have passed away;
behold, new things have  come.”
2 Corinthians 5 : 17

When Jesus dwells in our hearts –
He reveals to us
our true and often
erratic feelings and attitudes.

Jesus sets us free –
not only from wrong attitudes,
but from things that enslaves us.

Jesus said – “If you abide in My Word,
then you are truly  disciples of Mine:
and you shall know the
and the TRUTH shall set you free.”
{John 8: 31-36}

Prayer – changes us.
We behold the glory of Jesus –
and his glory in our hearts
transforms us into His likeness.
As we commune with Him
we get to know Him,
and trust Him- and this leads us
to ask Him to take control of our
thoughts; motives; and actions.

Pray for renewed hope and determination
-and it will transform us
into the likeness of CHRIST.

He can transform our lives.

Wishing you a Blessed Sabbath.

“No Strings Attached..”

seek the lord

Jesus replied- ” Very truly, I tell you,
everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
John 8 : 34

“The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him,
the cords of his sin holds him fast.”
Proverbs 5 : 22

But there is hope and light at the end
of the tunnel as God offers a way of escape:.
a way to cut those strings completely and
be free from slavery and bondage to sin.

“So if the Son sets you free,
you will be free indeed.”
John 8 : 36

“But you belong to God, my dear children.
You have already won a victory over those people,
because the Spirit who lives in you
is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.”
1 John 4:4m>

The Bible says that the devil compels
us to do his will,
thus taking away our free will.
The devil is trapping  ordinary people
and they may not realize the full scope
of their actions but they willingly allow him to do so.

When Jesus died on the cross-
He was providing every human with
the opportunity the freedom from sin-
By offering to cut the cords and strings
that tethered us to Satan, sin,
temptation and human desires.

We have true freedom in Jesus...

“Warnings— And God’s LOVE–“

Wise owl  &&&

“And he said- “Take heed that you be not misled;
for many will come in my name,
saying- “I am He, ….. Do not go after them.”
Luke  21 : 8

The greatest evidence that God is LOVE –
is that he warns us-
to let nothing deceive  us…
So that we loose eternal life.

Matthew 24; Mark 13 and Luke 21
-Outlines the Last day Events.

God in His love- shares with us warnings
in order to avoid the pitfalls
of deception.

Love for the One   – who is the
truth,  the way  and the life-
is the key to not being deceived.

As the last great crisis breaks upon the world,
those who love Christ
and eagerly await His coming-
will find refuge and safety
in holding on to Scripture- alone.

“Every man that hath this hope
in Him purifieth
even as He is pure,” 1 John 3:3

Amazing Grace! …

What can I say about God’s – Amazing GRACE.
It is available and it is free for the taking.

For it is by GRACE you have been saved, -through Faith-
not by yourselves, it is the GIFT of God…….”.
Ephesians 2: V 8-9.

John Newton, slave trader, preacher, poet,
one of the greatest trophies of grace ever won.
His life truly manifested that “God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform.”

From disgrace to “Amazing Grace”;
when he wrote this Hymn_

Amazing grace!- how sweet the sound
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!

Thro’ many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.

Amazing Grace  – it is more likely to be based on
Ephesians 2:4-9,
Paul’s great treatise on Grace, which says:

But because of His great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy,
made us alive with Christ even
when we were dead in transgressions –
it is by grace you have been saved.,
And God raised us up with Christ and
seated us with Him in the heavenly
realms in Christ Jesus,
in order that in the coming ages
He might show the incomparable riches
of His grace, expressed in His kindness
to us in Christ Jesus.
For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith
– and this not from yourselves,

it is the gift of God –
not by works, so that no one can boast.

“Armor of God..”

shield                                                                                *****

“Stand therefore, having girded
your waist with truth,
having put on the breastplate
of righteousness.”

  6 : 14

When we put on the whole armor of God,
we are admitting our need for
something from outside of us.
Our desire to be overcomers.

The righteousness of the breastplate
is a provision of God’s grace
through Jesus Christ.
It is part of the amour that covers
the heart and other vital organs.
The enemy will aim to strike
with a fatal blow.

Righteousness is an affair of the heart –
Receiving a love relationship with Christ.
Paul speaks of the “breastplate of faith and love.”
{1 Thes. 5:8}

“If you give yourself to Him,
and accept Him as your Saviour,
then, sinful as your life may have been,
for His sake you are accounted righteous.
Christ’s character stands
in place of your character,
and you are accepted before God
just as if you had not sinned.”-
{Steps to Christ}

Justification by faith is God’s way of
changing weak, sinful, defeated men and women-
into strong, righteous, victorious Christians.”

This is what the “Breastplate” symbolizes.

 “Above all, taking the Shield of Faith
with which you will be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
Ephesians 6 : 16

Paul seems to indicate that the ‘shield’
is more necessary than
any other piece of the armor.
The soldier can turn it in any direction
to protect any exposed part of the body.
The shield Is made in such a way-
to deflect the deadly darts and
render them ineffective.

We might think of them as the
fiery devices of ancient times.
Setting fire to buildings and clothing.

What is this ‘Shield of Faith’
that protects us against enemy weapons?
Faith is belief, trust and
confidence in the Word of God;
It is our confidence in His Word.

The ‘Shield of faith’-
turns aside the devil’s darts of hate,
lust, revenge,and despair.
Faith is the victory
that overcomes the world-
{1 John 5:4}.
It is by grace through faith
that we are saved-  {Ehp. 2;8}
We receive the holy Spirit by faith.
{Gal. 3:14}

Faith comes to us as a gift from God.
It is LOVE for and TRUST in God
and in the promises that He
has given us in his Word.
We must lay aside an unconsecrated heart –
and take up the Shield of Faith.
